Examinations
Modern radiology uses a number of different technologies with which to visualise beyond the skin and see the true structure and workings of the human body.
Pacific Radiology has a variety of radiology techniques available including
- X - Rays are predominantly used to show the bones in detail, but also evaluate the soft tissues of the chest, abdomen and pelvis.
- CT Scans are a type of xray that produces excellent two dimensional 'cross sectional' images through any part of the body, with the ability to make three dimensional images of specific internal organs and bony structures.
- Ultrasound show the structure and movement of the internal organs and blood flow, as well as evaluating superficial ligamentous and tendinous soft tissue structures in fine detail.
- MRI demonstrates the soft tissues and bone marrow in exquisite detail, resulting in images of nearly any part of the body that are highly diagnostic.
